Two planes crash, one man killedVICTORVILLE lt;UPI) -Two airplane crashes in theSan Bernardino County desert east of here Saturdayleft one man dead and six other persons slightly injured.The pilot and only occupant of a single-engine Bonanza was killed when his plane overshot the runway at Apple Valley Airport and burst into flames. He died before rescuers could reach him. The identity of the pilot was not immediately released but investigators said the plane had been rented at Torrance Airport by John Klein, Los AngelesAbout five hours later, a single-engine Cessna aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Hesperia Airport The sheriff’s office said the plane appeared to have lost power and came down three miles from the fieldNone of its six occupants, all from the San Diego area, was seriously injured. They were identified as Audrey R. Huskie. SI, pilot of the craft. William Howder, 24, Linne Hedstrom. 60, Phillip Witten, SO, and two unidentified juveniles.
