Brumbaugh.Boatswain's Mate Richard en-listed in the' Navy on December 18, 1941 and took his booot train-i‘ g at Newport, Rhode Island. He was then sent to San Francisco and later sailed from there. He lias served in eleven major battles. In February 19-14 he was home on a twenty-day leave. He graduated from Saxton ‘ Liberty School in 193 and was employed at the Jcnes Laughlin Steel Company in PiUsbiirsh when he enlisted in the Navy.Pfc. Levi entered the Army on November 1943 and took “ his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and at the present time is located at Camp Reynolds, Penna. Levi is in the engineering division of the Army. He is a graduate of Saxton Liberty High School in 1926 and lived in Florida for thirteen years. He was in the State Forestry there. His wife stiil resides in Florida.Sgt. Biair of the Parachute Division was inducted into the Army r.o January IS, 1942 and took his basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia and at FortWESTLEY BRUMBAUGH, JR.SGT. CHARLES SAYLOBrayNorth Carolina. Promthere he was sent overseas and served in the Sicilian campaign and in the Its lian invasion. He was wounded ~ t Naples on December 19, 1943 and sent back to North Africa for a month. He then returned to Italy and served on the Anaid Beachhead bvit is now in England. Blair graduated from Sax ten Liberty High School in 1936 and was employed at Jones Laughlin Steel Company before he was inducted.Westley E. Brumbaugh, Jr., entered the service in November1943 and is now.serving i; South Pacific area “Skip.-” , is better known, attended £ in Akron and worked at Goodyear Plant in- Akron, wife and two children resilt; Akron.Sgt. CharL-s Saylor is a her of the ground - group o Army Air Force.
