THE MOUNTAIN BRIGADE.Remnant of Gallant Confederates of Texas' in Reunion at Blanco. Special to the Dally Light.Blanco, Texas, July 27.—The morning trains brought hundreds of people into Blanco to attend the reunion of the Mountain Remnant brigade. United Confederate Veteran*. Several thousand people—veterans, their families and friend*-—reached the city up to noon, all portions of the state being represented. The exercises were formally opened today and the reunionwill continue until Saturday night.Many dlslnguished speakers and soldiers are on the program for addres-ea, the number including P. J. Lewis of San Antonio, Senator J. B. Dibrell, Hon. W. W. Burnett of Kerrville and General J. B. Polley. The city isprofusely decorated In honor of thevisitors and the citizens have made ample arrangements for the entertain-ment of the veterans and their friends during their stay,lliii comjBircial iStw.
