John Flynn, of this city, lias a 20-year-old son in Troop 11. of the Fighth United States cavalry, who participated in the battle of Santiago. A rumor has reached here that the young man was killed during the engagement and although the papers have been watched closely no definite information has been received. Mr Flynn is naturally very anxious concerning the welfare of his son.
