His imuries included a compoundfracture of the left arm, numerous lacerations and injuries aboutthe feet and legs.The bis vehicle hit the brick and concrete monument squarely, shattering it and hurling the pieces across the highway intersection. The tractor, demolished, ran clear across the intersecting highway, while the big trailer overturned and blocked traffic on the Bellefcnte leg of the road The Milesbitrg war memorial, dedicated in 1922 to ihe mem r of Miles burg area veterans who Served in World War I. Was 15 feet high and was surmounted bv the stone figure of a soldier.
