Douglas F. Miller, son of Mr, and Mrs. Glen F, Miller of E.D. 3 Box 95, Tyrone, has enlisted In the U.S. Air Force, according to TSgt Lew Smith, Air Force recruiter for Altoona.Upon successfuly completing the Air Force’s six weeks basic military training at Lackland air Base, Texas, he will receive training in the Air Force as a General Purpose Vehicle Mechanic. Airman Miller is a 1981 graduate of Tyrone High School.He will be earning credits toward an associate degree in applied sciences through the Community College of the Air Force while attending basic and other Air Force technical training schools.
