Shade, of Lock Haven, won the Pennsylvania 28th Infantry Division carbine championship with a perfect 80 out of 80 score.Shade who is 25 is a seniorsmall arms repairman in theGuard and a carpenter for abus line in civilian life.* * *At the division review last Saturday, the Lock Haven guardsman who is assigned to Headquarters Battalion wasawarded the excellent-in-compe-tion badge for his marksmanship at the 1962 national trophy rifle team match.The division which has been encamped for two weeks at Camp Hill began yesterday winding up their annual camp training activities and the men are due back home this weekend.Staff Sgt. Joseph F. Benamati, 28, of Greensburg, won the A-l rifle championship firing a score of 233 out of a possible 250.Sgt. Benamati, a construction foreman in civilian life, is a mess sergeant with Co. C., 28th Signal Battalion, Latrobe.Staff Sgt. Wayne L. Weather-by, Headquarters Battery, 229th Artillery, New Castle, won the 45-caliber pistol title. He fired a 389 out of a possible 400 score for his second championship in two years.Weatherby, a 28-year-old grocery chain employe in civilian life, is a radar section chief in the National Guard.k w
