Ac.Corrt spomtcnce of the New Albany Lrdger.“Camp Poco,” Kanawha Valley, Va., (July 19, 1861. yIn accordance with my promise I now sit down to commence my first (would that 1 could bay when and where my last would be written, or whethot* you would ever receive another).Since our regiment left Camp Dennison we have passed through scenes and events, sufficient in number, interest, and excitement to till six letters, but my time has been so much occupied thnt I do not even remember the dates of the more important events. 1 shall therefore hove to condense the matter and make this letter cover all the ground. The Second Kentucky regiment left Cincinnati in a fleet of three boats, Major Sedgewick with four companies, on board the Reliance, leading the advance, Lieutenant Colonel Neff, with three companies, following next, and Colouel Woodruff, with three, bringing up the rear. Nothing of importance transpired during the trip until the Reliance arrived at a point, sotne five miles below Guyandotte, when we were met by a descending boat and informed that Captain. Jenkins, a notorious rebel Captain of a large body of cavalry, had possession of (Suy-andotte, and had driven all the Union inhabitants from the town. Major Sedgewick imme-I hiu hnnt f.n huui.
