During the past few weeks several of Denver’s soldier bo.vs have returned to their homes aft'*r having seen service overseas. Walter Shafer and John Balsbaugh returned about two weeks ago, Lloyd Berger returned on Thurs-d iy and Edgar Tharp arrived home Friday. Edgar and Lloyd each saw almost a year’s service in France in the Engineer department. Walter was in the artillery service and John B.Usbaugh was in the hospital department and was sent to Siberia. He was sent home from Siberia to undergo an operation and after his recovery was discharged. He stated that while enroute home he met Edgar St rouse on the steamer. Edgar was looking well and had been recently promoted in the service. The bo.vs are all looking well but are indeed glad to get home as they say France is no place for a healthy American boy.
