HATH HOAU.July 13.—P. W. Day's new barn is about completed. At the raising I. Henderson fell from a beam and sprained his ankle.—Miss Quintell, of the Portland Road, has been visiting Mrs. F. Truedell.—Mrs. R. Dawson had friends visiting her last week —A. Hac-kett is working A. Ashley’s farm this season. —James Baker has leen improving his outbuildings.—William White, of Tweed, granddirector of ceremonies for British NorthAmerica, spent Sunday with P. W. Day.— The hay crops are being rapidly housed.— Rev. Messrs. Watts and Simpson are filling their appointments to the satisfaction of all, Front Road.—Miss Bessie Day has returned from a visit in Brockville.—R. Day has secured a good position in Toronto. — W.Wellborn’s residence has been besieged by guests. Among them are Mrs. Washington, sister of Mr. Wellborn, sr.,and granddaughter, Miss Eld wood, of Toronte, Mr. and Mrs. Deer, of Sydenham, Mr. Robinson, I of Prescott, and Mr, and Mrs. Stethem and I family, of Kingston, who have been camping I on the point.—Several of the Society of I Friends spent a few days at P. Ward's. Some I of them came from Kansas—J. Ward, president of the Lake Shore factory, has returned I from a trip to Napanee. He has been offered 7JC for the June make of cheese.—Miss Annie Aykroyd is the guest of her brother at Crystal Spring school.—Mr. and Mrs. Adair, cf Harrington, spent Thursday night I and Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Redden.—I The school picnic, held last week at Wellborn* Point, was a grand success. Prizes I were awarded to the competitors in various races, inolndiog foot races and a boat race. A splendid luncheon, with hot tea and coffee, was partaken of and all expressed themselves well pleased with the afternoon srecreation.
