Because Brown-y^rood Veterans will at that time be r:hoats to the Mountain Remnant Bri-^jpide it is necessary that arrange-ft'-uc4ti begin* •• r —.v* '•without delay until the reunion date, y-After spending some time without preaching any definite conclusions, it was decided that a meeting of sons of Confederate Veterans be held at .;the Commercial Club rooms tmorrow night,, at which time it is hoped that the necessary committees may be ^ named and put to work in a system at-•' ic1 manner to make the arrangements for the big meeting. The finance committee is one of the most important; and this committee has already •; been named and started work. There are hundreds of details to be arranged, however, and since the old soldiers are to be guests at this reunion, the younger people must do a : great deal of the work. It is hoped that every young man whose father • is a Confederate Veteran, as well as any others who are willing to help ' arrange for the reunion,-will be present tomorrow night ready to taiie an active part in the work to be done.- The Mountain Remnant Brigade is a much! greater organization than it; has'yet been Brownwood’s pleasure, to entertkin. Confederate Veteransi in more than a dozen counties are aC- ! filiated with the o: ganlzation, and the annual reunions arc never at- i tended by less than ten thousand peo- j pie, including the veterans themselves, j To take care of an entertain so many j ■people is no mean task, but all the j work of preparation will be justified by the results obtained.
