Careers of Cadets RWho Trained HereAre Being WatchedFollowing' the careers of boys who trained at Corsicana Field is an interesting’ past-time of numerous Coraieanans, The latest thrill received by them occurred recently when they read of pilots of Mexico'* aerial expeditionary force flying from Luzon in long range observation missions over Tokyo, since in the list of participants were two former Mexican cadet* who were stationed at Corsicana Field as members of the class of Instructor Harvey Gissell, now ofFryan. The former cadet* are now Lieuts. Reynldi Peres Gallardo, of Mexico City, and Raul Garcia Mar-eado of Monterrey.Liets. Gallardo and Marcado are members of the 201st fighter squadron of swift Thunderbolts who were recently led by Capt. Pablo L- Rivas-Martinez of Monterrey in their first long overwater hop from Luzon bases to carry the attack tothe enemy. As a unit of tre 5th airforce which already hag a fighter group operating from Okinawa bases, itis expected that the Mexican squadron eventually will move to that forward base for a direct attack on the enemy homeland.Local friends of the luexican lieutenants recall their appreciation of local hospitality during their stay at Corsicana Field, where they were two of only five Mexican cadets in training in the United States in the summer of 1042. They spoke English splendidly and often praised Coraieanans* practice of the Good Neighbor Policy in both Spanish and English. They were frequent visitors in the Harvey Gissell home, and Mr. and Gissell attended their graduation at Eagle Pas*. Mr. and Mrs. Gissell also visited In the homes of their parents in Mexico^ and the parents asserted that they were well pleased with their sons1 reception in Corsicana.cevlN111w.ofinfu111InceindithdcInitrinriboh
