Recruiting.—Several gentlemen in this county are making an effort to raise companies in answor to the call of the President for more men. Capt. Seth Benner, of the 110th Regiment, has opened a recruiting office opposite tho Exchange Hotel. Warren Raj’-mond, of this place is receiving menfor a company. W. F. and Geo. Thomas arc also recruiting men for a company. Capt. Joseph Johnson, of Petersburg, is also in the field gathering .up men for a company. We hope all may succeed in getting all the men they want. They all deserve success.
