NEW OFFICERSTO BE PUT INTONIGHTCommander Herman Scheer of Laredo Post No. 59 of the American Legion will close an outstanding administration tonight when ^ a new group of officers will be installed at Legion Home starting at 8 o’clock.A barbecue supper and refreshments will be enjoyed by the Legionnaires and their guests, the commanding officers and their staffs of military units in Laredo and all former World War veterans in the armed services stationed here.One of the largest attendances of the year is anticipated for the installation which will be conducted by Past Commander, A. L, Ahrens. The incoming commander will name standing committee chairmen for the New Legion year. 'Business sessonis will be brief and the evening devoted to good following, Scheer said.Under Scheer’s commandership the local post has made outstanding progress in membership and in interest in Legion affairs. He has worked tirelessly and has given the post one of the most conscientious and outstanding administrations in its history.
