Murder sit Fairbank.We have just learned (Wednesday morning) that a most murderous and fatal affray occurred yesterday between some citizens and soldiers in the vicinity of Fairbanks in this county.It seems, from report, that some soldiers of the 43d, led on by Frank Yager and Curtis Shaddock, fired upon a crowd of }roung men and boys, who were trying to escape difficulty, which resulted in the death of John Drake, and probably mortal wounding of John Clark, both peaceable and respectable young men of that township.The soldiers reported to hare done theshooting are named Brown, one of whomkilled a citizen of Hartford in Terre Haute last summer.We defer comments till we learn more of the unfortunate affair....I-——— lt;ai .... -......—........-JTdiF’Jas.
