GIs Get Jail In Rape CaseFRANKFURT (SS) — Two 3rd Armd Div soldiers have been convicted o! rape and assault after a three-day general court-martial here.The two defendants, Specs. 4 Valdez D, Bunch, of D Co, and Raymond J. Stone, of Hq Co, both 22, and from the 1st Bn, 32nd Armor, Friedberg, were sentenced to four and five-year prison terms, respectively, with forfeiture of all pay and allowances. They also received bad conduct discharges and were reduced to privates.The soldiers were convicted of assault with a dangerous weapon and the rape of a 27-vear-old German woman at Friedberg Castle last April 29.
