Ray Shepard, Central avenue, has received word that she will, soon receive the Purple Heart awarded posthumously to her younger son, Id. Clark Shepard, who was killed in action on the drive toward Rome. He was a member of the 191st Tank Battalion and his mother has already received his Infantry Combat Badge. She has also received the Purple iioart which was awarded her older son, Pfc. Jasper Shepard, after he had been killed inaction in Germany.
