Cooper of Davis left for San Francisco to attend the American Medical association convention.Funeral services were held for August Janes, 66, prominent west Yolo farmer, who died unexpectedly. He had farmed in west Yolo since 1910.Herbert Puckett of Zamora enlisted in the Navy and was sent to Great Lakes, 111., for basic training._
