ULFORMER OFFICER OF LAFAYETTE ESCADRILLE PLANS ROUND TRIP N. Y. TO PARISNEW YORK, July 12. (£)—'The Her-ald-Tribune says Colonel R. Rex Ren-nee. former officer of the Lafayette Escadrille and World war ace, announced he will in September attempt a flight to Paris and return in 24 hours. Rennee is credited with having shot down 40 piaffes during the war. His trans-Atlantic plane will be propelled by two special 12S0 Packard motors and use special fuel which he invented. The machine will be capable of a cruising speed of betw’een 300 and 375 miles per hour, which exceeds the plane record of 278.48 miles.
