Texan Killed in CrashOf T-33 Jet TrainerDENMARK, Me. lt;UP — An Air Force pilot was killed when a T-33 jet trainer crashed and burned on neary Mount Pleasant.Capt. Crordon L. Draheim, 36. of San Antonio, Tex., had radioed for a heading Saturday night while flying from Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, to Dow Air Force Base, Bangor, Me.A Brunswick Naval Air Station radio operator said Draheim asked for a quick heading as he had only “65 pounds of fuel left.” A minute later Draheim’s jet smashed into Mount Pleasant, scattering wreckage over a two - mile area.
