No doubt I the highlight of the trip for George was in SpartanburgAs the group was going into the Hotel Cleveland for lunch, jthe secretary of the Chamber of ■Commerce, spotted George and 'Bill in their “war bonnets” and walked over to meet them. As ;the energetic secretary approached the two Cherokees. he raised his hand and said: “How Pale face Chiefum George gavethe secretary a penetrating lookand in the brogue of a Londoner, (answered: ‘Say old chappy, your English sounds a bit off-key trust you're feeling hale and hearty.The flabbergasted secretary extended a limp hand, and remarked: “Howdy, lunch is ready — come right in.”
