Sgt. Techn. William J. Roger*, pison of W. L Rogers of Shipping-'rr port, has arrived home after beingreleased from the army with apoint discharge. He entered the army in March, 1941, served overseas 34 months and is a veteran of campaigns in Afric a, Sicily, France. Belgium, Holland and Germany.During the Belgium drive he was wounded at Sanree and was hospitalized for a month. He served with the “Hell-on-Wheels Second armored division and was with both the First and Ninth armies.He has the Purple Heart, the European theater ribbon, the pre-Pearl-Harbor ribbon, the Good Conduct ribbon and six major battle stars.“The world isn't so large after all,” according to Seaman (2c) Ralph J. Powell, who wrote from j Hawaii to his parents. Mr. and, Mrs. Roy J. Powell, of Glenmoor,-that he met his high school chum, Seaman (2c) Eugene V. Kegel, grandson of Vaughn Weaver, 1574 Holliday St., in Hawaii, and was there a “happy reunion.
