Local Air Corps Officer Over Due At Salinas BaseAnxiety ia felt by Mr. and Mrs. Hix Thornburg over one of their sons, Lieut Douglas Thornburg, a Flight Commander at the Salinas, Calif, air base, who was aboard a B-24 Liberator which is already two days over-due back at Its base.At press time the Thornburgs had received no word since Tuesday when officials of the Air Corps had advised them that the bomber had not returned to the Salinas base.
