Jeffrey Scott TaylorOn Tuesday, June 28, 2005, America lost a Hero. Petty Officer 1st Class Jeffrey Scott Taylor, 30, a Navy SEAL, waskilled in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan while protecting and serving our country.Jeff was born May 18, 1975, inB e c k1ey.He was theson of Jim and Gail Bowman of Midway and John Taylor of Rainelle.Jeff was a 1994 graduate of Independence High School where he was a member of the wrestling team and track team. Jeff enlisted in the Navy while still in high school with intentions of becoming a Navy SEAL which he accomplished in June 2000 along with many other military service awards.
