Pvt. Morgan Painter of Dodson,grandson of Mrs. .Tor* Morgan, 701Jackson, was killed In action onOkinawa May 11.Son of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Painterof Dodson, he had been overseas since February, serving in Hawaii,the Marianas and Okinawa. He wasa farmer before entering service last October.Private Painter was born Sept, 23, 1924, at Dodson, He is a graduate of Dodson High School and was married to Miss Zelda Welch of Dodson in 1943.Other survivors are a brother, Tolbert Painter of Dodson; two aunts, Mrs. John Whitehea'd of 704 Jackson and Mrs. Wiley E.
