Gen. B. W. Chidlan of headquarters, 12th air force.northern Italy. Lt. Rhay has seven' verified planes to hie credit and a I number of probables. jFor this achievement Lt. Rhay; has been presented the disting' | uished flying cross. It is believed this action took place April 17 in planes to his credit and a number of probables.His mother was advised of the iDFC award to Lt. Rhay May 15.Rhay, who was captain of the Whitman track team and a Phi Delt, left college in his senior year i 'to enlist in the army air forces j in March of 1943.
