Fourteen machine gun bullets received in three different battles kept him in general hospital No. 28 at Fort Sheridan until last week. Ilis right *leg which was tractured in live places, has knit sufficiently to permit of its use without crutches. Sergeant James MeScrley, wounded in the right arm and siiic at Chateau Thierry, is now the otffiy remaining member of Company E at Fort Sheridan hospital.
