Two Outlaw** Shot aud Killed*1 From ibe Nauhvllle Uulou A Amerleuu.]Three men, named Stevenson, Dexter and Hatchel, imprisoned in the Manrey county jail at Oolumb’a, recently broke Jail and escaped. Two of them, Stevenson and Hatchel, went to - the neighborhood of Stevenson’s home in Hickman county and hid themselves in the woods. Watching his chance, Stevenson crept out and wont to a boy who was plowing in a field, and by threats made him undertake to go to Stevenson's house and get a gun from his wife that he might kilh some men that night. The boy, frightonod, went to the residence of Mr. Coleman, a neighbor, and .related to him what had occurred. Mr. Coleman immediately resolved wbafc to 49* He put on a woman’s dress and went to the spot where the two outlaws were concealed. Stevenson, supposing it to he his wife, came forward to meet her, whereupon Mr. Coleman fired away, killing Stevenson dead in bis tracks. Hatchel started to run, but Mr. C. shot him also. He was not killed outright, but ran some distance before he was again shot and killed.Mr. John Batto, of the same neighborhood, while plowing in the field, was shot and probably fatally wounded, by some person in ambiish the day after, and it is supposed to have been one of the Bame party of outlaws who have infested Hickman county for some time who fired the shot. .
