Promotions, New Duty Assignments RevealedNew duty and promotions and Mrs. Willie Crompton Sr., have been given to four Bak- 1904 Clarendon Street, lastersfield men, the Army Home Town News Center, Kansas City, announced today.Army Col. Douglas P. Harper, whose wife, D'orothy, lives at 3933 Pontiac Street, has assumed command of Advisory Team 51 in Vietnam advising the Vietnamese Army’s 21st Infantry Division.Harper entered active dutyin September, 1939, and was stationed at Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., before he arrived In V i e t n a m last April. His father, Douglas D. Harper, lives in Culver City. His mother. Mrs. Edward Petersresides in Inglewood.A promotion was g’ven to Cleveland W. He entered the Army in May, 1966.and was last stationed at Ft. Riley, Kan., before arriving In Vietnam last January.Lilley’s parents live in East Lancaster. He Is a 1964 graduate of Antelope Valley High School, Lancaster.
