Pvt. Earlen Nester Stationed in JapanPrivate Earlen D, Nester, son of Mrs. Mildred M, Banning, of 210 South Livingston Street, is now on duty with the 27th Infantry Regiment at Camp Sakai. Japan. The unit is part of the Pacific famed 25th Infantry (Tropic Lightning) Division, commanded by Major William B. Kean.Joining the Army cm July 29, 1948, he wa8 sent to Fort Knox Ky.. for his basic training. He arrived in Japan on May 11, 1949.
