[Telegraphic Correspnndence Daily Commercial.]OUR ARMY IN VIRGINIA.News from our Army In Western Virginia to Last Night—An Impression that there will be a Fight at Laurel Hill.Camp Buckhannon, July 5. Telegraph finished from Clarksburg to Buckhannon this evening. I send the first newspaper dispatch. Division still encamped, waiting subsistence. Enemy reported about 2000 strong, ten miles this side of Beverly, preparing to dispute our way by harassing the army. There is but a small rebel force at Huttonville. They are concentrated chiefly at Laurel Hill and Leedsville. Scouts report that the Rebels have felled trees across the road, this side of Rich Mountain. A scout attempted to reconnoiter Huttonville to-day, and was chased several miles by a troop of horse, who fired at him with shot guns.Lytle’s regiment has not yet arrived. Operations in the Kanawha region are getting interesting. It is likely 0. Jennings Wise is entrapped by this time. Night before last Lieuts. Hogeland and Shortle, of the 10th Indiana regiment, with 60 men, put to flight 175 Rebels, at Jacksonville, fifteen miles South of Buckhannon.He fired sixty shots. Nubody hurt. Several privates of the rebel army captured. One of them said he was allowed only two cartridges when he started on his scouting expedition.To insure discipline, and prevent outrages upon Virginians’ property, Colonel Lander is appointed Provost Marshal of Division. In command ofBarker's Dragoons; he has summary authority.Army very healthy. No deatli3 in this column since it left Ohio. The impression prevails at headquarters that there w ill be a fight at Laurel Hill. Our information from the enemy not as satisfactory as it ou£ht to be. W. D. B.
