PYA School Prize Donorgefat**ed1st-,11s.theirs,andThis picture taken in August 1917 shows Alfred T. Atwood (standing) donor of the Atwood prizes given each year since 1905 at Penn Yan Academy commencements. Seated is Horatio W. Perkins, long a Penn Yan grocery man, whose home was at 134 Elm street. Mr. Perkins started in the grocery business in 1860 in the store now occupied by the Walsh Shoe store and just two doors north of the store then occupied by Munson Atwood. This picture was sent to the Chronicle-Express by Mrs. Pliilip Pepper of Bluff Point, RD.
