IIALEDO ■'NDNineteen Signed Up For War.During the last week 19 men have been enlisted for service in Company B, now located n Springfield. This ia not counting the 14 who were sent to the camp some time ago, and' only three more are needed to bring the company’s roster up to the. full w'ar strength. Sergeant Porter left this morning for a day’s work in the “solid east,” that portion of the county which has thus far sent 'but few representatives, and has hopes that after the stirring address made in tins city Sunday evening by Captain Carlstrom the needed recruits will be obtained. At any rate this is practically the last chance that will be afforded Mercer county men for enlistment, as the draft comes July 10, and after that date no individual choice will be allowed. It cannot be expected that many more men can be obtained from the western part of the county as it has already suffered a heavy toll. In the Millersburg, Joy, New Boston and Keithsburg vicinities recruiting has been carried on rapidly and successfully, while in Mercer township is practically drained. On the other hand, the Viola and New Windsor communities b— mi but few men and it Is hop*' remainder can be secured However, if it is not done that the draft will be more tg,while it has been received on good authority that where the enlistments have been so plentiful but little conscripting will be done at present. From all reports the men are getting along fine at Camp Lowden and outside of a few minor cases of measles no illness can 'be found. All of the company members will be returned home within a short time in squads for a final visit before any change is made in location. Following are the enlistments to date: Russell Murdoch. Arnold E. Munson, Dennis Stroheck-er James Clark, Isaac E. Brooks, Jesse O. Bogart. Sherman Forsythe, Robert r.lair, Charlie Unga eIter, Fred Wagoner, James M Kistler, Charles H. Hodgson, Albert R. Morrow, Murray Dencan, Clyde E. Hille groes, Everett S. Granger, John P. McDonald, John N. Strohecker, bredKeihman.
