Matean GetsCommissionSTANFORD — Sixty-one Stanford university students, including one San Matean, completed their army reserve officers' training corps courses and were commissioned in the United States army reserve this month. Col. Albert B. Evans, deputy commander, 7278 TTC. Pepperell air force base, St. John’s. Newfoundland, the father of one of the graduating seniors, was present to administer the oath of office and Maj. Gen. Robert L. Howze Jr., deputy commanding general. Sixth United States army, presented commissions to the newly appointed second lieutenants.Among those appointed second lieutenant in the United States army reserve was Roland T. Fuji to. son ©f Mr. and Mrs. Roland T. Fujito of 330 North Giant street, San Mateo.Lieutenant Fujito majored in electrical engineering while at Stanford and received his commission in signal corps.
