Military Matter*.Lieutenant Commander Carleton R. Kear, of the United States Navy, a native of Van Wert, now a resident of Washington, has been placeed on the retired list, under the compulsory law. Mr. Kear, along with a lohg list of other officers of many years service, will be retired some time this year.
