Tro; ceremony of decorating the grave* of our deceased soldiers and sailors took place on Sabbath afternoon last, and was an occasion of rare interest. The number of people present is estimated to have been not less that five thousand* a large portion of whom were from the surrounding township*. Fromthe list given, it appears that the total number of our dead braves is fifty-six* of whom forty-six are bnried in the cemetery, four inthe Irish Catholic, three in tin* German Catholic, and three In the German Lutheran graveyards. Among those entombed in the cemetery are the favorite Colonels, John W. McLane and Strong Vincent, whose memories will long be preserved in the hearts of our people as among the most gallant and patriotic men who yielded up their .lives to save the Union.
