Rogers has written to his mother about theservices performed by the Red i Cross and USO in providing recreation and services for the soldiers in their ieLsure hours 'Hie Red Cross, he writes, serves coffee and doughnuts to the men two or three times each week and provides books and writing materials for them. In the larger cities they have a building and sometimes motion picture equipment. Altogether, the Red Cross is doing a fine work. Rogers reports. Of the USO, he says that it provides good entertainment for the men, who can make a lot of trouble” when left to shift for themselves and find their own entertainment. --A---------
