CASES AMONG YANKS IN SIBERIA SHOW BIG INCREASEWASHINGTON, Jan. 28. — An increase in the number of cases of influenza among-the American troops in Siberia was shown today in a state-Q ! ment issued by the war department dealing with the outbreak of the disease in the army at home and abroad.For the weeks ending Jan. 2 and 0 respectively, 24 and 41 cases were reported. The only death from disease reported, however, was one due to tuberculosis.The report showed the death rate among troops in Germany continued high. For the week ending Jan. 16 it was 86.74 per thousand which was I- {slightly higher than for the preceding s. I week. During the week ending Jan. e 16, there were reported 63 cases ofe s ae)influenza and 30 cases of pneumoniawith twelve deaths from the latter dis-#ease.
