. MARLBORO, Mass, Jan 26—Not a few of those who attended the recent gold-,/On jubilee of John A. Rawlins Post, G.' ot the long and honorable career of the '/ post. There have been enrolled upon its list of members practically 400, thehighest number at any one time being• *. At the time of the reunion there were 39 members left. The hlstorinn of the occasion was Walter S. Goss, past, commander of the post, who recently celebrated his 85th birthday. Mr Goss has been one of the. faithful members of the post, which he iias served as commander for four years, and has tilled practically every position in the organization.Mr Goss is a native of Brewster and a brother of the late Frank B. Goss, who was for many years editor and pro- . prletor of the Barnstable Patriot, which 3s now owned and published by bis nephew, Percy F. Goss, the paper being published at Hyannis. Walter S. Goss . was a member of the 7th Massachusetts Regiment. He was wounded four times, iOf the charter members there are butVa.
