V V VFarewell Luncheon*A very delightful little farewell courtesy was given MisgOlive Graber and Miss Thompson, local nurses of 1 nit R, who have been called to report in the east for transportation to somewhere on the other side for service in the Hid Cross, when a half dozen of their intimates asked them to lunch at noon at the Y. W. C. A. cafeteria. The affair was entirely informal, butgt early appreciated by the honoredones, who leave Burlington Monday, attended by many good wishes fo|* g bon voyage across the big pond and success in their service among the j j. less fortunate. The American nurses siare being called urgently, and it hasbeen estimated by the surgeon gen-lt; ral’s office that if the war continues, • ^ within a short time the Red Cross1 v will need between 30,000 and 40 0(H) nurses for the needs of our armjH# alone.
