He was much affected by the unexpected manifestation of regard of which he was the recipient. Many,pleasant hours had ha passed with the bravo men from whom ho was so soon to be parted, the memory of which be wouldcherish to the end of life. Dr. 0. was deep-fg | *3 ’j ly moved by the spontaneous outpouring of confidence which had greeted him, and expressed, in terras of earnestness, his thanks for the generous confidence reposed in him by the gallant men with whom he had solong been associated.
