shave enlisted in the I nited States Marine Corps and 1 am at Camp Island, Port Royal, S. C. 1 Joined the marine during Christmas ami was sent hero at once. I have seven first cousins in the army. 1 am the tenth boy out of seven families of relatives to join. 1 thought this was the best; part of the service so I took it ljl was born In Itasca. Hill-county. Jan. i lt;f., 1897, and lived there till 1907 and then moved to Abilene with my parents where I lived until my father’s death in May last year. 1 then went to the mncli where I lived until J entered the service last December.JAMES HENRY GRIFFIN-
