JAMES WENDELLHOLDER COMPLETESAIRBORNE COURSEJames Wendell Holder, son of Clyde F. Holder of Burnet has recently completed the Airborne Course at Ft. Benning, Georgia.The course is designed to train volunteer officers and enlisted personnel from all arms and branches of the service as qualified parachutists. Students are required to make five jumps from an airplane in flight, including one with full equipment.The airborne course is but one of 21 at the Infantry School open to officers and enlisted men of the Regular Army, Organized Reserve and National Guard. Courses range from training recruits to become parachutists to training regimental commandersand division general staff officers.Pvt. Holder entered the service on July 9. 1952 at Abilene,Texas.
