Ernest de Los Santos, aerial engineer who received part of his training at Sheppard Field, is a prisoner of the Germans, his j wife learned this week. She lives j in Wichita Falls.Sergeant Santos wrote that his plane was set on fire and all of the crew parachuted to safety except the pilot who crash-landed the ship without a scratch. He pointed to loneliness in the prison camp, since most of the time was 11 spent eating and sleeping.Sergeant Santos received his education at Eastland, Texas, his j home city.
