Weems, commander ofCarnie Welch Post No. 27 of Sallisaw, was selected as the American Legion representative from the Soldiers’ relief Commis-ion by the Department Executive Committee last week. Weems succeeds H. B. Fell, who resigned following completion of the hospital building program, as his private intere: is made it impossible for him to give further time to i he duties as a member of the Commission. Fell was Chairman of the Commission/ which has provided hospital fa-cilites for ex-service men equal to I or better than those of any oth-1 er state.Weems was formerly State President of the Young, Men's Democratic League, for-.| merly had charge of some Kvork for the state school land Department. He is an enthusiastic Legion worker.
