Alien, Pearl, 111., is scheduled to participate in the inaugural parade for President-elect John F. Kennedy in Washington, DC, Jan. 20. as one of the Presidential military escorts.Sergeant Allen is assigned to the 1st Battle Group, 3d Infantry, (The Old Guard), from Fort McNair, Washington, D.C., a specially selected unit which serves regularly as The President's personal honor guard. The group also performs ceremonial activities at high-level functions and provides guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier.Allen, a squad leader in the infantry’s Company A, entered the Army in 1952 and was last stationed in Germany.The 29-year-old sold.er is a 1948 graduate of Pearl High School.His wile, Naom., lives in Washington, D.C.
