Phyllis Joan GerardPhyllis Joan Gerard,93, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Dignity Care Home. She was born March 4,1920, in Detroit, the daughter of Arthur A. and Florence (Baird) Stafford.On April 14,1945, Phyllis married Elvin E. Gerartl in Ferndale, Mich. She was amember of First Presbyterian Church, Salina.Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Florence; and her two brothers, Edward Stafford and Robert Stafford. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Elvin, of Salina; son, James S. Gerard, of Salina; daughter, Karla J. Rosenbluth, of Denver; and three granddaughters, Angela Allen, Jennifer Solbach and Adrianne Rosenbluth.Cremation was chosen. There will be no visitation. Private inurnment will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eiehth. Salina.
