Rollins was presented to] at Colonel Anderson who then read ! ■t- the citation which prescribed the dy Air Medal for over 100 hours of lie operational flight during which contact with the enemy was pr obit- able and expected. Colonel Anderson then pinned the medal or Cpl. Rollins and congratulated him.Cpl. Rollins was a member o* the famous 19th BombardmentGroup, during much of its action j in tht Southwest Pacific. He j took part in the Battle of the Coral Sea and was on many all photography missions over- Guad-or alcana! before its occupation, he Cpl. Rollins, who has two “prob-ie,! a hies” to his credit, is an aerial by gunnery instructor here. His home id- is in Asheville, North Carolina.
