HONOR ILLINOIS AIR CORPS OFFICERS IN NORTH AFRICAWASHINGTON — VP) — The wardepartment announced today the award of decorations to eight Illinois officers and enlisted men of the army 15th air force In the north African theater of operations. They included from downstate:Capt. Edgar O. Hughes, medical corps, Washington, soldiers’ medal.Eighth bronze oak leaf clusters were awarded to:William H. Bitner, secorfd lieutenant, Glasford. (Eighth bronze oak leaf cluster).
