PFC LOGGINS READY ! FOR RETIREMENT/ Pfc. Henry C. Logins, brotherWof Mrs. Pete Hughey will be eligi-I ble for retirement under the 20T/ear plan when he has served only 19 months more. Pfc. Loggins was with General Kruger’s Sixth Army in New Britain, New Guinea and in the Phillipines campaign.He was a member of the Alamo Scouts which was a very select Combat Team which paved the way for the Rangers and other landing units: It was the Scouts that contacted the Phillipino Guerrilas and made the arrangements forprisoners of War in the Phillip-pines.Pfc. Loggins was wounded in New Guinea and was sent to Australia for treatment. When he recovered he was sent back to his outfit in the Phillippines. He was in on the beachhead at Arawe* New Brittain.He will leave in a few days for San Antonio and will then be shipped to Japan to join hisspectacular delivery of American*
